Mr. Williams has been an employee of Gulf Coast Community College since 1984, having taught a wide variety of courses in the areas of General Business, Management, and Computer Science. He currently teaches Introduction to Data Processing, Microcomputer Applications, Systems Analysis and Design, Data Base Management Using Access, Computer Imaging I, and Computer Imaging II.

 EDUCATION and BACKGROUND 

Mr. Williams holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Pre-Business Administration from Gulf Coast Community College, a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from The University of West Florida, and a Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Management from The University of West Florida. Mr. Williams has been working with and teaching computer programming and software applications since 1975.

 

 OTHER INFORMATION 

Mr. Williams' present personal interests include the production of fine art quality digital images. He has a number of pieces that have been displayed in various gallaries across northwest Florida.  In the summer of 1998 Mr. Williams presented a successful one man show of his work at the Gallery of Art in Downtown Panama City.  This showing of images created using the computer was a first for the Gallery. 

In addition to the production of Modern Art, Mr. Williams is a collector of etching, engravings, lithographs, woodcuts, linocuts, drypoint, and mezzotint Fine Art Prints. His current holding including prints ranging from Old Masters to Modern Contempory artists. He also is an amature artist using various printmaking techniques. 

Mr. Williams continues to be a student of Management keeping current in present day thought and theory on the subject. He is also interested in both the History of Management and the History of Computer Science in which he collects interesting and odd tidbits of information that are only meaningful when playing Trivial Pursuit. 

Additional interests include woodworking, photography, and Digital Media Technology. 

Mr. Williams is currently the Past Chair of the Faculty Council.  He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Visual Arts Center of Northwest Florida.
