student must obtain an e-mail account. If the student does not have access
to an off-campus account, the student may obtain an email account through
a free Internet service, such as YAHOO or HotMail. COURSE OBJECTIVES
The student should be able to
demonstrate a basic understanding of the microcomputer by demonstrating
skills using hardware and software. METHOD OF INSTRUCTION GRADING
A=90 – 100% POLICY ON MAKE-UP EXAMS COURSE REQUIREMENTS Homework assignments are due at the beginning
of the class. Late homework will not be accepted. Each student is expected to do
his/her own work. Helping one another is allowed, but direct copying of
assignments is cheating. Every student is expected to enter his or her own
keystrokes. ATTENDANCE
Roll will be taken each class period. Students who are absent from class more than one-eighth of a course (six class hours) without the instructor's permission shall be withdrawn. If you are having difficulty with the class assignments, please contact your
instructor during office hours. Considerable time outside of class will be
required to complete course assignments. You should allow an average of 2 hours
outside of class for every 1 hour in class to complete assignments. If you do
not have access to a computer off campus, computers are available for student
use in room BS 103. There is no charge for the use
of this room. Open lab schedules will be posted on each room door. The Success Center and Library also has computers available for student use. CONTACT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
